Owner/Manager

Hi! I’m Kate – owner and manager of Canine Social. After making the decision to leave corporate America with 18 years in accounting, I have been channeling my energy into creating a nurturing and joyful environment for the dogs in our community. I am a resident of Troy, IL and I am so happy to be a part of the business community going forward! Our family has 5 pets of our own. We have 3 cats (Bailey, Sunny & Ed) and 2 puppies (Hazel and Zara).

For the past 3 years while building a business plan, I have attended countless conferences, hired a dog daycare consulting group and connected with renowned trainers to learn every aspect of this business inside and out to make sure our facility is the safest and happiest place for not only my fur babies but all of yours as well!

My intense attention to detail and genuine love for animals ensures that every dog will receive personalized care and affection. I have insisted during the design/build process that each pet be as comfortable and safe in our care as they would be at their own home. To accomplish this, I have designed a building with the dogs comfort and safety first, from only offering large, luxury suites (no cages), to high-end leather beds to lounge and sleep on, to a state of the art HVAC system to provide safe air-quality for the dogs, and much more. My ability to foster strong bonds with both pets and their owners sets me apart as a remarkable caregiver.

My commitment to providing a SAFE, HAPPY AND WELCOMING SPACE FOR DOGS will be evident in every aspect of our service and facility, making our daycare and boarding facility a trusted haven for furry friends.

Hi! I’m Katie – groomer of Canine Social. Growing up I knew I was going to be working with animals, what that was I wasn’t sure! After a move to Florida, I landed at a grooming salon as a bather! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but enjoyed the work immediately. I ended up learning so much about grooming along the way! I couldn’t imagine my life anywhere else but in a grooming environment with all of the adorable pups! This to me isn’t just a job, this is MY PASSION and I truly enjoy what I do everyday!

I thrive to make my clients and pets happy and create a relationship with them. I have 3 cats, a 10yr old cattle dog and a 6 month old standard poodle. A big reason I got my poodle was to really get into CREATIVE GROOMING! This process is something I really enjoy and it lets my creative side shine.
